St Martins Lane puts you one minute's walk from the finest pub in London - the beer is truly excellent

You're also just a few minutes away from a great fry-up

Yeah, I noticed that too. I've been meaning to have a play with HDR for a while - I have a copy of Photomatix kicking about somewhere, and I think Photoshop now has a feature to generate HDR images.
Where are we going? And what’s with this hand basket?

Does that work from one photo, or do you still need to take a few at various exposures?

No - I'll have to remember that if I ever find myself trapped at New Street again

You can work from a single RAW file I believe: I think Photomatix can work its magic direct from a single RAW file, but with Photoshop you have import the RAW multiple times with different exposure adjustments, and then remove the EXIF data to fool Photoshop into thinking that each photo is distinct.

The "less than 100 rooms" bit makes it sound like a Travelodge...

The "lots of little extras and luxury" is what gives it away.
