just doing a bit of reading about scaphoid fractures, they seem quite nasty and can take a long time to heal.
I hope that DD1 hasn't fractured it as it can take 10/12 weeks

Lady VF just phoned to remind me that the road tax on the car I'm driving today has expired. Incredibly she was able to renew it over the phone without any hassle.

Shame it was £402 though

Is she in much discomfort with it? Does she have a cast on?

She has a splint on it at the mo, and that seems to be helping out.
In terms of pain, it hurts when she tries to grip anything - so holding a knife and fork is out of the question.

I'm having to cut her dinner up.

We should know more next week when we go back for another x-ray.

Luckily its not her writing hand so her school work shouldn't suffer.

She won't be taking part in the swimming gala, and whether she goes to scout camp depends on next week's results, although I think the scout camp might be a bit too soon.
