You can hear more from it here.

It was a good evening, highly entertaining - and it's a good book (and DVD) too!

I want to go to America and just go slowly travelling across the country. Maybe when the girls are older.
Have you read John Steinbeck's Travels with Charley? It's his account of a road trip he took through the States in 1960. It's one of my favourite books

I've not read any Steinbeck, but that intrigues me. Might have to add it to the birthday present list (March), though.

The Gorman book is his travel from LA to New York in a Torino stationwagon, trying not to give any money to The Man (TM) - i.e. staying in, eating in, buying petrol from independent sellers rather than any chains. I want to stay in a B&B in the shape of a beagle, as he did...

And on that note, it's time for bed.

Just a fleeting visit folks - I am off to bed!

Since I got back from the Fun Factory this afternoon I have:
          • Hung Two Doors
          • Resized and reapplied all kickboards in kitchen.
          • Re-applied skirting board to hall and kitchen.
          • Put washing machine, oven, fridge etc back in kitchen.
          • Patched crow bar size hole in wall in hall.
          • Hung wreath on metal front door.
          • Worn myself out!

... and now off to bed. Might even catch up on another episode of top gear on the iPlayer on my iPhone whilst FianceHC is out!

No VF tonight I see - I wonder what the world had in store for him this evening. I got to leave ClientCo early today as I was in for 7 (in fact it was 0643 when I turned the projector on ) - so I skidaddled at 1530!

He'll be pleased to know though, that I have managed to get the lager level in my fridge right down to 2 cans; should have that finished tomorrow, and then it is on to the good stuff.

Never used to like proper ale in bottles, never seemed quite right - but I tried it again lately and it was very nice indeed.

Which reminds me - I must start a thread about Sky TV in Technical! I would do it in General, but I can't be bothered with the riff raff!

Blimey, that's a years worth of DIY for me.
Where are we going? And what’s with this hand basket?

Tonight I have been mostly wrapping presents. We've done all the ones for the kids so they are ready to stash in the car for the trip to North Wales at the weekend.
