Just picked up the Christmas tree

Got a rooted one and a pot, so I will let Lady VF do her horticultural thing and get it potted, then we can decorate it.

If you're very lucky it'll turn out to be leylandii and be 60 feet tall in 3 weeks or so...

That happened to our next door neighbours' "Dwarf connifers"...

tv looks rubbish tonight

For lack of anything else, I started watching NCIS...

I now record 5 eps off FX & watch them over the weekend... currently on Series 1.

Series 3 is showing on 5 on Fridays...

I'm getting a bit confused since some people who are alive in series 1 & 2 are dead in series 3.

The "Duel of the Fates" scene is quite special. The kids also enjoy the pod racing bits.

That's one bush you'd want to keep under control.

It was incredibly funny... the neighbours didn't do much to the garden, but planted these 3 "dwarf" connfiers about 4 feet apart when they were 18 inches tall...

In 3 or 4 years they were at least 40 feet tall... had to be taken down eventually.

Much more impressive than my ash tree in the compost heap that I had to take down myself*.

*and only cracked one pane of glass in the greenhouse while doing it...
