Evening NickOriginally posted by NickFitz View PostEvening denizens
Just took the car down to the vet's to see about getting it MOTd - turned out they could do it almost immediately
It failed
Mind you, it always does. This time it was rear inner sill corrosion (which I suspected as the rather bodgy job done a few years agao was showing signs of wear), a leaky exhaust (which I also suspected as it's been slightly noisier recently) and, of all things, a loose fuel filler cap (which I didn't expect as I've noticed no change in that in all the time I've owned it).
So I'm taking it back tomorrow for the welder to give me a quote, and things should be sorted out before the old certificate expires on Friday

Me thinks you need a new car. That boy go raaaaaaa

How old is it?
According to the VIN it was built in February 1989 at Ford's Halewood plant in Liverpool, just a few miles from where I was born
Twenty next year
