I'd forgotten what a pain in the arris the early clock generator circuits were... it needs a 50% duty cycle, not just a crystal & two capacitors...
Ho hum.
Maybe I should use a z84c15fec10 instead.
(That's a z80, z80ctc, z80pio, and z80sio all in one humungous 100 pin quad flat pack).Comment

Craig, get yourself a Cyclone III FPGA development kit. They're great. There's lots of info regarding "SoftCore" processors on the web.
