My electronic lock thingie is now duly mounted on a board.

It even detects the position of the cam correctly.

Now I have to decide if I want to implement a bit of PWM to slow the motor down a bit... it currently screams its head off coz it's running off 6V and it was designed for 3....

However the cam detector thingie is much better than the one on the actual product... the cam stops at more or less the correct position every time... with little or no over shoot.

The other one used to trip the lock 2 or 3 times with a fresh set of batteries...

Funnily enough...

Just in case you're wondering how the language got its name, well it's not from those dangerous reptiles. Python actually got is name from a BBC comedy series from the seventies "Monty Python's Flying Circus". The designer needed a name that was short, unique, and slightly mysterious. Since he was a fan of the show he thought this name was great.
