Well - I've got 6 years 'til I want to retire. When I retire I want enough money to keep us in the manner to which we are accustomed and for us to travel when the kids are older.

I also want a bigger house with about 5 acres and an Aston Martin (and maybe an old Ferrari)

money for travel - 30 years * £8k = £240k
house with 5 acres = £1.0m
Aston Martin = £150k
Fezza = £100k

Lets round that up - £3m
over 6 years = £500k per year

I take 70% home from MyCo - MyCo needs £714k per year
210 days per year

Therefore £3400 per day is enough

A stand-off is still underway at Large Bank today involving Armed Police, The Samaritans, and a Contractor, who has strangled several permies with keyboard and mouse cables, and severely beaten others with various items of office furniture. He has stripped down to his Sensible underwear, painted war stripes on his face using the vending machine tomato soup, and appears to be helbent on torturing members of Large Bank's key R&D employees in a methodical fashion.
The police haven't taken any action as yet. A police spokesperson was heard to say 'His grievances seem fair enough, they probably deserve it, we'll intervene if he attacks any of the other contractors'.
