It just goes to show - you should always examine the facts before questioning the opinion of those more knowledgeable in any given domain than yourself. A healthy reminder, and a useful caution against making assumptions even about what one thinks one knows for sure

As for questioning the faxcts, I have spoken to a few professors. They seem to be willing to listen to anyone - on the assumption that any idiot occasionally comes up with good stuff.
