There were 2 users though - NF's spider was on. I noticed it particularly bad when certain people (cough) were looking at old posts...

The spider was so slow a trickle that it wouldn;t be noticeable.

One thought that did occur to me was that it would result in the disk caches being refreshed and, if the data is stored in multiple files, could change the way the server holds the data.

It all depends upon what OS the server(s) uses.

Will be interesting to see what NF's stats show. though of course they wont take account of post deletions (including banned users).

Deletions do present two challenges.

a) how to record them

b) should they be recorded?

If the author wants to delete a post, then should it continue to exist?

Round here you can't put glass in the recycling.

That's annoying since it means we have to make a special trip to drive to the dump to recycle glass.

How crap is that?

we have 4 bins :-
1. food/garden
2. glass/paper/metal/plastic/etc
3. everything else
4. nappies.
