I ended up in hospital last year, my vertebrae shifted (5 collapsed vertebrae) and paralyzed me from the waist down for 18 hours. I was 3 1/2 hours on the floor before the wife came home from work and found me.
The ambulance men made me drag myself onto the stretcher, they said you're too big to lift without risk of injury
Next morning I was right as rain again and booked myself out of hospital.
That's the second time in 5 years that has happened.
Maybe I should not have lifted the washing machine onto the bed of the truck on my own

A couple of weeks ago i emptied the garage, took 1 washing machine, 1 cooker and 1 tumble dryer to the tip.

Lifted each of them into the car on my own. Didn't realise i was in such danger!!

makes my back pain look minuscule - good going...

No back pain is minuscule, Next to toothache it has to be the most annoying and uncomfortable pain in creation.
Luckily, mine only plays up when I don't exercise it enough or over exercise it.
It's a fine line.
When I first collapsed with it, the hospital gave me a corset/lumbar support to wear, worst thing in the world, your back gets weaker and weaker.
I still like corsets or a nice Basque mind

Audi estate - 2 trips, dryer and cooker went together. And yes it is lower than a truck.

Mind you, Sitting in these bloody office chairs all day has got to be the worst thing in the world for back pain.
