I had a permie interview some years ago in Slug, sorry Slough, in which the HR tart went on about the outside work activities: evening quizzes, weekend barbecues, and so on.

When I was turned down I asked for feedback and was told: "Too interested in the outside work activities".

No wonder I'm a contractor!

I had a HR woman go into all that sort of thing on the 1st day of a contract once... I lasted until 12 noon...
