Each shoe came in a cotton bag and had a shoe horn in it and was in a solid cardboard box, also had those thingys to help to put them on without stamping the heal down (can't remember what they are called).
The thing for putting them on is a shoe horn. The things in the shoes are shoe trees.
I'm suffering more from the medication than the injury
I must tell you "Do you want an injection of something to help you sleep?" story some time. In short, I couldn't sleep for two nights because of the damage the nurse did to my gluteus maximus ("arse muscles" sounded ambiguous!) with the needle.
