My get-up-and-go seems to have got up and gone.

"Police 10-7" is on Men & Motors...

It's like "Police, Camera, Action" or "The World's Most Amazing Bits of Police Video", but in New Zealand...

This means it's primarily composed of the NZ Police trying to sort out trivial domestic incidents involving drunk teenagers.

Although recently they had a teenager who wasn't obviously drunk... a rare occurrence in NZ, it seems...

He had merely turned his car over in a ditch as a result of driving on tyres that were not so much bald, as skeletal

              Totally unharmed, of course...

If I had an accident like that with my totally-legal tyres somehow failing, I'd probably be killed instantly.

Or maybe left paralysed and drooling

But a teenager in a cut & shut who shouldn't even have been on the road alone (not passed his test yet) walks away quite unharmed

And here come the adverts for Essex girls, all apparently staying in on a Monday night hoping that I'll send them a text message (£1.50/msg, send STOP to 666 to end).

Not sure if photo messaging costs more... reasonably sure that sending a photo would act just as effectively to STOP any personal contact

Anyway, my phone doesn't take pictures. It's only just able to receive phone calls

"Convergence" isn't something I want in my pocket, thank you very much.

SMS (or "texting" as the youngsters call it) I can just about cope with - it actually has some useful applications.

I can't think of any good reason to send somebody a photograph of myself or my environs right now... can't wait... my friends have to see what I'm seeing (or me) this very INSTANT!!!
