If I wanted to do network and printer support rather than creating things, I'd have myself lobotomised first... if it breaks when somebody uses it then IT (or the maintenance men, as I like to think of them) are to blame for either failing to keep it maintained or for setting things up wrong in the first place.Originally posted by NickFitz View PostDo I look like some numpty from an IT department

This isn't an Epson FX80 - it's a bloody big multi-function network printer. The job was gone the instant I submitted it. Anything else is within the printer itself. The printer's job queue as seen in Windows is an entirely different thing - that's actually a property of the print server, not the printer.Originally posted by DS23 View Postbut it is just a right click away...
Anyway, I don't use Windows, I use a real OS

but if you were the one responsible for calling a 6000 page document and the numpty comes round and loudly calls you a numpty in front of your new clientcorp peers...Originally posted by NickFitz View PostIf I wanted to do network and printer support rather than creating things, I'd have myself lobotomised first... if it breaks when somebody uses it then IT (or the maintenance men, as I like to think of them) are to blame for either failing to keep it maintained or for setting things up wrong in the first place.Comment
