    Still, this is only a demonstration and The Show Must Go On.

      I had steak sandwiches for lunch today.

      But no crisps.

        Using two hands and utilising as many fingers as possible - preferably in the Death Wish Squid Formation - take the butty and carefully dunk it in the soup.

          You will recall, of course, we covered bicky-dunking in the final week of last term.

          The principles remain exactly the same here so, of course, we need not dwell on the details.

              Will this lesson be part of a new GCSE Home Economics module?

                There are two significant differences, however, and these are referred to by the joint term 'autoencroutonment'.

                The crumbs float, not sink and rather than sludging can be considered a value-added bonus of the process.

                It is this inherent production of 'croutons' that makes butty dunking so fulfilling an activity.

                  Overall, the benefits are:
                  • an increased appreciation of bland packet cup-a-soup;
                  • an increased appreciation of one's routine butties;
                  • concurrent fluid & dry matter intake thereby assisting one's digestion;
                  • greater variance to diet;
                  • greater likelihood of being left alone to eat at your desk;
                  • mental exercise at variance from daily office work;
                  • finger and wrist controls at variance form keyboard and mouse use thereby helping reduce RSI;
                  • an enhanced feeling of satisfaction and well-being.

                  These are listed on the handout, by the way.

                    So thank you all for attending How and Why to Dunk One's Butties - With an Example.

                    We can look forward to next week's lecture: How to Suck Eggs.

                    Thank you and goodbye.
