I fear that would cause much more noise.."Is someone you don't like allowed to say something you don't like? If that is the case then we have free speech."- Elon MuskComment

I'm hoping to actually feel like having a spot of supper soon
Wonder what there is... there's usually a large ham, but I'm not sure I fancy ham...
No turkey leftovers for me, though

Now my sister wants to watch some ludicrously long film on some digital channel.
Ho hum
Despite the fact that I've never seen the film, she will continue to ask "Why is he doing that?" and so forth throughout.
I may go in the other room and write some PHP...Comment

Her technique for watching a film consists of reading a magazine.
She then looks up when the fancy takes her (which is apparently unrelated to anything that might be happening in the film or any sound that may be on the audio track) and immediately demands a full explanation of the behaviour and motivation of everybody who may be involved in whatever appears before her eyes that instant.
Then she returns to her magazine... but woe betide the person who attempts to change channels, or even turn the telly off
Her husband is used to all this by now, but is ill in bed.
I think I'll go and get some supper.Comment

get yerself a beer and a chaser (double). hold them. one in each hand.
take a long, deep guzzle of the beer, flop into the sofa, put your feet on the coffee table, exhale loudly.
sip the chaser. gasp loudly.
take another draught of beer.
if you can, fart.
exlaim loudly: "my god that's better - merry christmas everyone"Comment
