My parents have loads of wood now (just chop down another tree and burn that) and they no longer have a coal hole, but I do love the smell of a coal fire.
My sister's place in France has no central heating, but a nice wood burning stove in the lounge to heat the place up. New year is going to be a touch chilly.Comment
