A-levels.

He's doing Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, English and Classical Civilisations.

He's no idea what he wants to at uni or for a job. I suspect maths will feature, but let's see how he goes over the next couple of years.

Only reason I ask is because I really don't understand how A levels work.

These were GCSEs (age 16).

A-levels are normally between 3 and 5 subjects, but there's a half way (AS level), so quite often kids will drop one subject after the first year.
