If it doesn't exist, cretin, then I cannot use it. In some cases, it will be in the head of a user, and you expect the database to automatically know what that value is and use that as a starting point.

That way, as soon as it's in the database, I can change the one line and it will all work.
Of course, it will never work, but it's a safe assumption based on the specification I have in hand
I could even go as far as configuring the application to hold that information, so all they need to do is populate the field.....Comment
