So happy...can't breathe.
Just got reply from Client Co. I wanted to take the 21st (Good Friday) off. Sent them an e-mail to tell them this. Not asking for permission, telling them. IR35 can kiss my bum.
The donkey project manager just replied "you can't do that were go live that weekend". *who on earth makes a project go-live on a bank holiday weekend? This isn't going to cause any disruption as it doesn't exist yet. Its a new system...brand new. Not replacing anything*
Sigh. I told him that I was really looking forward to the break (sic) but if I was really required I would do it...read...lets negotiate on some extra money here.
He asked me what I wanted. Now its a bank holiday and also a long day...normal day in the office followed by a flight back that doesn't leave till 7pm! So I return about 10pm into Heathrow. Nice.
So I said I wanted 6 times my daily rate...
He just agreed. **** yeah!
Now for the master plan. Its a bank holiday weekend. Just checked and I can get some cheapo flights out there Friday, fly back Monday for some mates. Lad weekend away.
