Right! If no-one's going to talk to me, I'm off!

    Comment

      Bit parky out there

Every Saturday I go out and buy the newspaper, primarily because it has the TV guide for the week.

But I hardly watch any telly these days, and I can get the TV guide online.

      So why do I bother?

I think you miss the point of consecutive posts.

They allow us to create a pool of reserve drivel on which we may draw at a later time when drivel supplies are low.

Any increase in post count that happens to result is merely an epiphenomenon.

I know, it seems a bit strange, I look up everything that I need to know online, but I still buy the Radio Times. I think it is easier to look through if you need to absorb a large amount of information.

Indeed. It just occurred to me that for six months I've been buying it on a Saturday, finding out that there's nothing to watch on Saturday and Sunday, then ignoring the rest of it (because I don't really watch telly when I'm in London) until I get back on Friday evening, when I probably only watch HIGNFY anyway.

So I don't even try to absorb more than a small amount of information from it.
