Morning denizens 
Rainy grey day again. The wind apparently is still quite windy too, so our 5°C “feels like” -2°; we should be getting 8°, but not until after dark - around nine or ten tonight, in fact, which is also when the rain will go away. The barometers are steady at 973/981mB
I see I neglected to sign off again last night so, for the record, I decided that after Stalingrad and Berlin, something lighter in tone would make a nice change. Hence the new book is The Jane Austen Project by Kathleen A. Flynn, in which a couple of time travellers return to the early nineteenth century on a mission to snaffle the manuscript of a novel that Ms. Austen destroyed. I do wonder if it will turn out that their real mission is something more, but it’s entertaining enough as it is seeing people of modern sensibilities trying to blend in with Regency society
I have to head off to do the shopping soon, rain or no rain. I thought it might be Viz week, but the festive break has thrown the timing out and it actually came out last week. So to Big Sainsbury’s I must go!
