Feels like it's been one damn thing after another today with meetings, reviewing pull requests, and so on
Lunch, eventually, was a pancetta omelette which was very nice
Another meeting at three, but that's the big weekly one for all the people in the… division? directorate? I don't even know what it's called TBH. *Googles cursorily* It's a "function" as far as I can work out. Anyway, I don't have to contribute in any way. I prepare for this one by getting myself coffee and biscuits, then only half-listening while reading Twitter or somethingComment

It's been a nice day today. A lovely breeze, a bit of sunshine.
I ought to stop tinkering with box unpacking and actually do some work but I do now have my bedroom and the bathroom completely unpacked and the office is 80% there. The kitchen / living / conservatory area still looks like a jumble sale. It'll be easier when I finally get rid of the moving boxes (if all the people turn up to collect them).Comment

Oh and lunch, eaten about 10 minutes ago, was a freshly baked ciabatta roll with cheese and tomato. Some mould had to be cut off the cheese first.Comment

Gone grey again here and down to 21°C, though it's still 26° inside
I got the mundane laundry done this afternoon, somehow, in the midst of meetings. So at least that'll dry quicklyComment

Much shenanigans ongoing this evening to get HWMBO's youngest down to London. Train left Glasgow nearly two hours late and then terminating at Rugby with claims that there will be a train to Euston that isn't showing on any timetable. Back up plans had been made but the kid got on the train.
I am on standby to drive to Rugby as the Travelodge adjacent to the station is fully booked.Comment

The car earlier wasn't, for as was foretold:

Entertainment whilst dining was some more Cumbrian Police Interceptors. And finally, the latest episode of 24 Hours in A&E
Down to 17°C out, but apparently it won't get any colder. In here, it's still hovering around 25°

Avanti West Coast have laid on a coach to Euston so I now have to get to the station in about 90 mins time to escort a sleepy child home and then cruelly wake them up to leave at 7am to take them to St Pancras.Comment
