One of the bigger Crouch Recovery trucks that has a split-level flatbed just went past: car on top, van at the back, orange beacons on the cab flashing merrily away
I've managed to put the mundane laundry away rather than leaving it on the clotheshorse for days, but only because I have a towel wash on so will need to hang those up shortly

Just booked a Sainsbury's delivery for Friday afternoon/evening. Saves me the trouble of lugging stuff in from the car, though I still have to lug it upstairs. Not a lot they can fail on in the substitutions/use-by-date departments either, as I once again need to run down stocks in the freezer, so I've bulked the order up with lots of non-perishable items like foil and shower gel that are always worth stocking up onComment

Walk briskly walked, green ring closed

I spent some of the afternoon sweating like a pig, swearing like a trooper, and grovelling like a politician at election time whilsst getting that back box off the car.
Oddly the bolts came undone easily which is Always A Bad Sign, whilst the rubber mountings were a grade A pain in the arse, had to use some rubber lubricant to shift the feckers.
Dunno what bits of scrap I can press into use during the repair.
I think there's a surfeit of baked bean cans available. When the fun stops, STOP.Comment
