The doughnuts are yum!
Haven't filled them as we wanted to see how they turned out. A liberal dusting with cinnamon sugar is working very well.

Changes made:
>Used a starter that was already on the go rather than making the one specified here. It was quite a liquid one but had good activity. No idea how liquid the suggested starter would turn out so my batter may have been wetter than intended.
>Halved the recipe for this trial run and made approx 53-55g balls. This yielded 10 doughnuts of a pretty good size so it's unlikely I would bother making the full size recipe.
I'd consider leaving out the lemon, depending on what filling you're going for, and adding a touch more vanilla.
