For tea: chicken casserole (out of the freezer) with chips and peas. Very nice indeed
That’s the last of that chicken casserole, but I have some frozen chicken thighs I can use to make some more. But that, in turn, will be the last of the thighs, as they came from the butcher’s counter in Sainsbury’s, which is closed for the duration. There’s a poulterer’s stall on the market that does a good deal on them, so I’ll have to venture up there, assuming it remains open.Comment

Followed by "The Greek Interpreter" and "The Norwood Builder".Originally posted by DoctorStrangelove View PostEntertainment: "The solitary cyclist".
None of which I have any memory of whatsoever.
Amusing enough in a 35 year old 4:3 tv sort of way.

Tonight’s first film was a rewatch of Red Dawn (2012). Not sure why; maybe I just fancied a dystopian thing involving a tangible real-world menace, in this case North Korea
And then back to your regular pandemic-related viewing, but this time with a happy ending; for I decided there was no good reason not to rewatch Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011). Glorious stuff, with the humans getting the pasting they so richly deserve from the apes
Terribly quiet out there for a Friday night: averaging less than one car a minute I’d say, and in a couple of minutes of gazing out of the window, I saw not a single pedestrian. I suppose this is the new Friday Night Normal now
Goodnight all

Reminds me of the 1960s. MrsBP's sister had(has!) fish allergy. At nursery aged 3 she refused a fish paste sandwich. The lady in charge forced it on her. Her mouth bulged!Originally posted by LondonManc View PostReally ups the stakes if there are food allergies in the family. Mwuahahaha
Her mother gave the nursey lady a real mouthful. And her mother(my mother-out-law) is ferocious when she gets going.
After I impregnated her daughter and gave her a granchild she treated me like a God! I could do no wrong!Comment

Dear God mother-out-law was stupid! She bought baby bp a sit-on push buggy he loved. When told, MoL asked "does he want another one?". MrsBP said "He only has one arse"!Originally posted by BrilloPad View PostReminds me of the 1960s. MrsBP's sister had(has!) fish allergy. At nursery aged 3 she refused a fish paste sandwich.
