Pâté on sesame bloomer toast for lunch
The Polish café is open, but notices have been posted in the window (A4 landscape and probably about 36pt type over four or five lines, so I can’t read them from here). Hope they’re not throwing in the towelComment

Popped up to the Amazon Locker for some bits - out the back, along the back lane where the bins come and go, down the alley at the far end, over the side road to the north, over the corner of the shrubbery at the side of the petrol station, and across the back of the forecourt. Other humans thus avoided
It’s a nice day out there, sunny, with a very light breeze just sufficient to keep one from overheating
Not very busy though; a very Sunday afternoon feelComment

10 Years...
Realised that 10 years ago today I joined this forum.
Was on the bench at the time. I remember it was the same time that Mrs qh came into the room and announced "I'm pregnant."
Best get a contract then, I replied.
10 years, blink of an eye.
qhHe had a negative bluety on a quackhandle and was quadraspazzed on a lifeglug.
I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.

Heard back from the interview I had the other afternoon. Great news - they want to interview me again!
So that's screen from the internal recruiter, technical call and now another interview (with a 60 minute slot).
Is this the contract market now? I remember taking contracts on the strength of a 10 minute call or even "your CV looks strong, we'll give you a go and bin you if you're useless."Comment

No idea.
Current gig was "are you free? great, the programme manager will give you a call" followed by "what did so and so tell you about the job? here's the skinny, when do you want to start?"Comment
