I had a similar thing to the “bang” when I pulled a muscle in the same place a few years ago while rushing to get down the front path while the pedestrian crossing was showing the green man. Never made it to the end of the path, and it took a few minutes to get back upstairs to the flat
Got better after a few weeks, FWIW.
It was great fun, I'd spotted two drinks cans and a plastic bottle yesterday, took a different path to get at them this morning then Bang! left calf does its thing.
Bearking in mind that this is halfway up a moss covered muddy bank in a forest.
Figured out a reasonably flat path from where I was, picked up the detritus, limped along, collected some more, then came to the conclusion I'd never reach the top today, so made my way back down to a reasonably level path & gradually & very slowly limped home, collecting more crap as I went.
