    Afternoon all.

Freezing cold, foggy and grey here in the City of Dreaming Spires. It makes our NHS site look absolutely lovely.

At least I have the office to myself as the rest of the permies are out for a Christmas lunch in the pub.

Missed three calls from different agents at the same agency this morning. I might drop one a line later and see if they all want to talk about the same job.

Still not a contract in site - only been submitted to one client in the past week.

Just remembered I had to pop to the doctor’s about the changing prescription shenanigans. I explained the situation and they looked on the computer and said they’d sent it to the pharmacy. I explained (again) that the pharmacy had looked on their computer and were equally insistent it hadn’t been sent, and had suggested it might have been printed out here at the surgery. So they looked in the box where they keep them, and it wasn’t there. Finally, they sent it to the pharmacy (“again”) and it should be ready tomorrow

Not that I’ll bother going there until Thursday or Friday, whenever I get around to going shopping

I suppose I'd better go & talk to the existing insurance broker about renewing.

          Another £500 down the swannee.

          Ho hum.

This property owning thing is expensive.

Can't find the interactive map I used before, the one I did find is almost useles on this little box: the selection menu takes 2/3rds of the screen leaving a tiny map in the remainder which gets overwritten with text saying where the data comes from.
          When the fun stops, STOP.

Surely NF, with all his map doing shenanigans, can help you out there?

Off to meet HWMBO for a beverage and then to the cinema to see Jumanji. I haven't seen any of the series but he has and was really quite keen on this one. I am expecting switch-your-brain-off nonsense.

                Here it is:

                https://maps.cyfoethnaturiolcymru.go...t&layerTheme=1

You can scare yourself tulipless playing with that.

                This is the other one:

                http://lle.gov.wales/map#b=europa&m=-3.159,51.47832,8

Far more choices and you can zoom close enough to see the house numbers.

                <hiatus>

Tea was M&S breaded haddock, chunky, slightly over cooked.

Nice enough, followed by stewed Braeburn apples and custard, the custard remaining in the jug today.

All rounded off with 1.05 pints of good Glengettie tea.

To add to my joy, turns out I will be taking them next door to the hospital in Bridgend for her next door to have some sort of gearbox exam under GA.

Getting up at 06:00 to get there by 07:30.

Thought I'd top up the radiator on the Strangelove motor carriage.

Two possible top up points, the first one isn't, the 2nd one is.

All done in the dark since I forgot to do it earlier and if I wasn't getting up to take them to Bridgend I could have done it in the light..

Spag bol for tea, and absolutely excellent it was

That’s the last of the bol out of the freezer. I don’t suppose I’ll be making more until next year now, as I need to ensure there’s some free space for Christmas leftovers - particularly my mother’s very fine turkey soup
