Could I find Ye Olde battery charger?
Nope.
Just as well there's a spare that's half a century younger than the one I was looking for and couldn't find.
Having visited Ye Dump with a car full of green waste (there's was no room for plastics and glass), followed by Tesco and Morrisons, came back, looked in the garage & lo! Verily There Was Ye Olde Battery Charger grinning at me from where I'd put it last.
Of course, within Ye Garage there is A Car Starter but it's feck off big, with wheels, very heavy, and totally inaccessible under a pile of other tulipe.
In other news, Ye Sune is Oute. When the fun stops, STOP.Comment

I've set the InstantPot™ to work making a white-wine-based chicken stock out of the carcass from the other night. Lovely aromas wafting in from the kitchenComment

Lot of blue sky appeared suddenly outside. It turns out the sun is now in just the right position to reflect off a dormer window on a house across the road and a bit further down, directly into my eyes as I'm sat in my armchairComment

The stock has been greatly reduced, really concentrating the flavour. It's now cooling, can spend a night in the fridge in case that helps the flavours develop, and will then go into the freezer ready for adding to future chicken graviesComment

in other news, the lamb stew is about to be sampled, with couscous and harissa, of course.
did i say I LOVE CHILLI's?
