Followed by a rather more cheerful thing about the windscreen that blew out of a BAC111 without killing anyone, due to an unfortunate selection of fixing screw when then windscreen was replaced earlier.
The engineer took out 7D screws, which apparently were supposed to be 8D screws and ignored the advice of the stores man who said they didn't have any 7D screws anyway coz they should be 8D.
So the engineer buggered off across the airport to another stores and got screws which were, rather unfortunately, not 7D either.
Ho hum.
