Popped out the back. It still didn't rain. Very odd

All the components measure fine, but the little fecker just won't regulate unless I disconnect the adjustment terminal from the board and use a couple of external resistors up in the air.
Most oddly odd.
Changed more resistors and another diode, set the fecker up to 12V, boxed it up.
Naturally enough: zero output.
Open it up again: 6V output.
What the feck?
Oddly odd barely covers it.
Reset the output to the new max of 11.8V and gave up.
I think the regulator is fecked.
The old max was 16V.
The zero output was caused by a bent tag.
I even got a scope out to see if the fecker was oscillating, but it wasn't.
The tantalum capacitor I removed and which appeared to be causing a problem appears to be ok.
In better news, now I've wiped the lead off the kitchen prep area, the bol is on the stove gently simmering.
I've just discovered the spag is "whole wheat" which explains why it's an odd All Bran sort of colour.
Feck me, my eyes must be going.Last edited by DoctorStrangelove; 13 July 2019, 17:20.When the fun stops, STOP.Comment

In other news, I see the pressure is getting to one mod!
They messed up fishing/cycling in the joke thread. When I pointed this out, they edited my reply!
Clearly they need a rest from CUK to de-stress....Comment
