Should I try for Contribution Based dole?

    Just askin' like.

In other news, got a glass tankard (unlike the silver plated or pewter ones from previous employments) which was very nice, £117 towards my new shed, and, unusually a bunch of roses.

The fun started with a potluck lunch, followed by adjournment to The Queens Hotel, followed by a further adjournment to a place in the Marina which stocks craft beers, some of which have remarkable strength, proper falling down stuff.

I subscribed to "Cwtch", which is 4.5% and stuck to halves, until it was time to catch the last X7 of the evening.

Now cooking the M&S battered haddock.

    Yum.
    good to have you back.

was missing the welsh weather reports.

    honest.

    i WAS.

    really.

    happy retirement.

      Thanks.

Retirement my arse, someone wants me back in there soldering stuff next fecking week.

Started off in The Queens with Theakstons (Best rather than Old Peculier), before the Cwtch at the alternate venue.

I've never frequented that side of the dock previously and can now understand how "they" manage to drown themselves so readily when in "their" cups.

and you've quoted a suitably bum clenching, eye watering daily rate, one presumes

Probably £50 or £60 hourly rate.

It'll need fiddling to get that though since I can't work there officially for 12 months.

are you eligible for state pension?

and there's no such term as 50 or 60.
it automatically becomes 60 or 70.
then you can grudgingly accept 60 as a favour to them

Of course not, I'm only 65.

The state pension kicks in in July.

I've got to sort out the private ones next, and the Sloughe Of Desponde one too.

Might even have been six feet. Anyway, all gone now

Cod & chips from the chippy for tea, as predicted, and very nice it was

well, if you'll have regular work, defer the state one, it's worth it.

good luck sorting out the barrage of junk from pensions advisors

                      Hope you kept the CDs.

You just never know when that essential program for WinNT will come in handy like.

Earlier this morning I was looking at some Public Domain library 5.25" diskettes that my predeceased predecessor had bought back in the 1990s.

Long long ago & far far away.
