    Afternoon denizens

The temperature in the living room today has, for some reason come down to 26°C from the 28°C at which is has been fixed for who knows how long. This is only a marginal improvement, but I'll take it

Had the last two plums for breakfast, as they were close to going wrinkly and generally manky

I think I prefer shoulder of lamb to leg - the extra fat gives it more flavour, or at least a flavour I prefer.

I like slow cooked shoulder, cypriot style. - shanks are really good too, also slow cooked with tomato and herbs

Edit: but i also like leg, too. and lamb curry, and stew.

Sod it, lamb is my favourite meat

My photographer friend was flying over the city in a helicopter the other day, presumably on a commission from a client as he's not prone to hiring helicopters. He's just sent me a photo showing pretty much all of the neighbourhood, from the Co-op down opposite the Chinese nearly all the way up to where the dodgy kebab shop blew up a few years ago. 8688×5792 pixels at 300dpi

EDIT: oh, and up beyond where that other shop blew up earlier in the year.

The chestnut tree outside has done a good job of preserving my modesty by blocking any view in through my windows, though

EDIT AGAIN: ah no, my mistake, it's blocking next door from that angle. But I've got most of the curtains drawn to keep the morning sun out anyway

that's a bit harsh, even by CUK standards. just 'cos you got a dodgy kebab??

Yes, he swears by Canon. Not sure which of those his latest one is, but it'll be the most expensive one his limited company could afford
