In the hotel restaurant for dinner. Not my usual habit, which is to go to the chip shop round the corner, but it makes a change. It’s exceedingly empty in here at the moment

I wish it was empty here. :
First (and possibly only) trip of the weekend to the dump.
Had a row for throwing pvc trunking into the plastics skip.
Apparently it's "household", despite being plastic.
So they'll burn it.
And generate some nice furans and dioxins while they do it.
The rest of the load was wood.
And I've mown the statutory 6 endless lawns.
Stone me they needed it too. When the fun stops, STOP.Comment

No doubt, they'll both go wrong together, just like cars do.Comment

Dinner had: pâté and some kind of foreign toast with onion marmalade, and a ribeye and chips
It didn’t seem to be getting much busier down thereComment

Half-watched several episodes of NCIS: New Orleans, the programme I only ever see in Premier Inns.
No pub tonight as the plan is to be down for breakfast when it starts at seven, and get on the road home before eight. Last autumn when I was here I did that and, if I hadn’t had to make a detour via the Apple Store to pick up my new MacBook Air, I would have been home before tenComment

I think that's the first & only time I've used the term "dude".
This evening's first feature was "7 seconds" with Wesley Snipes and Tamsin Outhwaite:: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0417395/
It was ok in a "I only paid 33p for this " sort of way.
Made Blade II look like "Citizen Kane" though.
Followed by "Robin and Marian" with Sean Connery, Audrey Hepburn, Bob Shaw, and Nichole Williamson.

Ms Hepburn was luminously lovely in it.Last edited by DoctorStrangelove; 5 May 2018, 22:28.When the fun stops, STOP.Comment

Up and about awaiting delivery of the additional washing machine, due some time between 07:10 and 11:30.
I can guess at which end it'll arrive. When the fun stops, STOP.Comment
