Dry here, although it has clouded over.

Just laughing at some emails flying round the ClientCo...
Techie to 1 Permie... "has anyone set up this piece of information yet (attaches screenshot showing it's already set up)"
Permie 1 reply, copied to me + PM + 2 other permies... "WTFH or Permie 2 are doing that"
Me, reply all... "I've already done it, here's a spreadsheet showing that it's done"
Techie, reply all... "thanks all of you, can someone make sure it gets added to the list to be done"
Me, reply all... "It's already there, I did it at the weekend"
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

      Home!

Not too bad a journey back, though not the best either

And there keep on being occasional showers, despite what the meteorologists said

It's actually been quite a productive couple of weeks at ClientCo in that I reckon I'll end up deleting a couple of hundred lines of code, having completely reworked something that I originally wrote about a year or more ago, at a time when they were still a bit unclear on the requirements

I've written a few thousand at least for this damn thing, and a good half of them could do with being deleted

I do hope it's all in a reasonable language.

                  BAL/HLAL can be challenging

Mind you, there are times when I miss working in XSLT, in which your programs must be well-formed and valid XML, so my notion of what constitutes a "reasonable language" may be a bit weird
