Sainsbury's website has been down this afternoon, but it's finally back so I've been able to order bunch of stuff I don't really need for delivery tomorrow

Hopefully that will be the last time I need to have stuff delivered. I see the surgeon a week today and am optimistic that I'll be given the OK to drive again then, so I can have all the hassle of going to the actual shop to get stuff I don't really need

Email from pimp about the gig over in Cambridgeshire. He really should check his list before blasting these things out

Anyway, at least it means they haven't found anybody yet, so if I'm signed off as fit to work next week I might be able to go back there; though I'm not sure I want the travelling, or will be ready to do it. If I do get back in, and assuming they're still OK with the three day week, maybe I should stay down there a couple of nights a week

Do you need the work? or might it be better to take some more time out to fully recover?
or maybe, like me, boredom is kicking in

I don't need it, in that I still have a comfortable amount in the war chest, but I vaguely resent seeing the figure going down when I spent so long trying to make it go up

I'll have to have a think about it. Once I can drive again, I'll be able to work out if I'm comfortable doing the distance involved, or if I need to take more time.

Also, we were just getting on to some more interesting bits of the project, after a few months of rather boring bits, so it'd be nice to dig into that.

Mind, I'll fall foul of the 24 month rule in the middle of May

Well, you know what you're doing.
            Your call.
Depending on how much they like you, you may be able to swing 100% remote work?
my last four years were that, apart from client financed meetings/ workshops.
            no 24 month hassles then

They don't like remote work, because they don't want the hassle of setting up a VPN, and I "have" to have access to confidential client data that can't be allowed out of their systems. The idea of creating a bunch of fake data, or anonymising existing data, hasn't really occurred to them, and if it did they'd probably say it would take too long

Tonight's tea was chicken tikka masala, with the usual rice and naan. Very nice, it was

The recycling bin has been trundled forth, ready for the morrow.

It occurs to me that I haven't gone down to open the gate for the bins early on Friday morning since the end of November, and the world doesn't appear to have ended. So I might not bother doing that any more

This stuff about Trump getting a porn star to spank him with a copy of Forbes magazine ought to be utterly astounding, but after all the other stuff such as the pee tape, it's not even surprising - just mildly amusing
