Just found out I will be deboomed in the next few weeks.

Seems some senior guy has decided to cut costs just before Christmas.

All the things we have fixed up at quite a quick pace over the last few weeks, to great applause, went live yesterday.

We have just spent the last 4 hours trouble shooting the live integration as it is completely broken.

I helpfully pointed out our original stuff was still running fine in UAT and their promotion/integration process must be broken.
Obviously none of the perms had any idea what was going on at all.

The main chunk of the project goes live 12th December, we leave on the 22nd.

I sense there may be trouble ahead

Same reason I'm getting a new car.

A one or two year old car is now the same price as a new one if you are getting discounts.

My car won't be built until January though.

This one is due in March (currently) but since it's only just been ordered, that's a guesstimate. We'll know better once it goes on the build sheet, which will probably be January.
