    Yep - I worked with a real techie many years ago who threw loads of examples together for the project (he told me "I shouldn't be allowed to write production code any more").

    When the system went live, if it timed out the error message "Failed to dequeue wait on pipe error" was displayed to the call centre operator

                      He was a top bloke, and has forgotten more about Oracle than I'll ever know, but that was a classic. They didn't even replace the error message, as it was hard-coded.
