The Wife (tm) is going in for an arthroscopy tomorrow, had the MRI/X-ray last week. Before the scan the consultant suspected that an arthroscopy would solve it - a superman flush is what they call it - clean out the junk in the knee and trim cartilage. I've been told by a friend who has had it done 4x that you notice the improvement within an hour or two of the op. The consultant has said that The Wife (tm) should be fit to go skiing in 4 weeks time.
For those of you who do not stalk me, I was hammering it down the M6. 150 miles in 1hr 55 minutes - on for a record time, when came up to rolling roadblock. 6 cars from the front. After approaching the filth, I was informed there was someone trying to commit suicide. But he could not be found. Helicopter launched. Still could not find him. So they let us go after 40 minutes.
We were close to an AC Cobra worth several hundred bags of sand.
And I took the opportunity to lie down in the fast lane of the M6 and got DD to take a picture. I expect health and safety will harass me at some point.
I still get grief about the time I lay down on the live railway line. The one that has trains every 30 minutes......
