Those stones turned out to be the only thing holding it all together. Which proves me right in getting the job done, and also validates the masons view that 'that bugger's reet enough'. Anyways, the jobs underway.
An interesting aspect of the British psyche is in evidence this morning too. Everyone walking past has stopped to appraise the situation. A couple of old dears have found an angle to raise the subject of the dead neighbour and the guys have got requests to quote for 3 more jobs. I should be on commissionComment

Sunny here for the moment.
Quite how long "moment" turns out to be is debatable.
Off down town shortly on the weekly Saturday afternoon browse & shop.
Who knows what gems of dvd goodness will turn up today.
After all I must have watched at least 6 inches of the 12 or more feet of unwatched dvds in the pile.
Must remember to record the NZ motorway patrol thingie that I like so much.
If they'd have me I think I'd go & live in NZ, it looks nice.
One of my nutjob neighbours is sunbathing.
It's not exactly what I'd term "warm" out there.
It's not even exactly what I'd term "warm" in here too.Last edited by zeitghost; 23 September 2017, 12:35.Comment
