This evening's first feature was "The Man Who Wasn't There": Billy Bob Thornton, Francis McDormand, a very young Scarlett Johansson, Tony Shalhoub, James Gandolfini et al.

The Man Who Wasn't There (2001) - IMDb

A Coen brothers production in glorious B&W. 2001.

    It was pretty good.

Followed by S1E5 of "Person of Interest", which had much ultraviolence and all the better for it.

      Morning denizens

Looks a bit cloudy out, though not in a gloomy way

Just got to neck this coffee, and it's off to London for me!

              Made it to London

To be precise, Conway Hall, where everything I come to London for seems to happen now. Boring is here, Interesting was here last year, this conf was here last time it was on two years ago.

Nice venue, though this is one of those occasions when they won't let us sit on the balcony so I'm not in my usual seat

I'd complain if I were you. Can't be having sitting somewhere else.

Mate's cat popped its clogs this morning.

It was ok before he went to get the paper, stiff when he came back.

                Ho hum.

It had some weird neurological complaint, but lasted a year longer than its litter mate who died of kidney failure.

The ZeitLunch was the remaining two eggs (BBE April) out of the fridge, on toast with some poached tomatoes.

                It was very nice.

Followed by a random corn on the cob (Morrisons, reduced to 9p for two a fortnight ago).

                That was very nice too.

The mugs of Glengettie are on going & very very nice too too.

In other news, FB has informed me that I friended NF 9 years ago & has produced a quite sickening sort of video thingie to celebrate.

Considering the lack of definition on the ZeitImage, it wasn't a great success.

Now considering if I should brave the hideousness that is Neath on a Saturday with the fair in town.

It'll only make me more homicidal that usual, which it must be said, is quite an achievement all in all.

The residents-only parking expires at 13:30 on Saturday, so I've brought the car round and am now parked just over the road from the hall, eating a bit of chicken from Sainsbury's for lunch

Watching I Daniel Blake. Now very upset.

Back in the hall after lunch, and somebody is sat in the seat I was in

You don't get this problem at the Boring Conference. Frankly, it's not British
