The walk back from town included the trek up the canal towpath to Tonna.
The building site for the new housing estate of 300(!) 2, 3, & 4 bedroom Baratt rabbit hutches is progressing.
For some odd reason they've dug immensely deep holes right next to the pavement, presumably for drains.
If they go much deeper they'll strike coal.
Since I was wandering in that direction I had a look at the grandparents' and parents' graves.
Very unimpressed with the maternal grandparents' grave which shows little sign of the vast number of bulbs I've planted there, whereas the paternal grandparents' grave got the marble chips weeded to stop it being overtaken by weeds, while the parents' grave is 80% covered with forgetmenots, which is very satisfying and should give a nice display next spring.

The drive in this morning was shockingly bad. Torrential rain for much of it. Then, once past that, the roadworks hereabouts are causing massive delays. I ended up getting here at nine, so a two-hour journey. Before they dug the road up, I was making it in eighty minutes
