The ZeitLunch, since I'm on my hols, consisted of a Peters' steak & kidney pie with Heinz baked beans, followed by a couple of small pork pies (reduced, Morrisons), and two mugs of tea.

    Oh, and some (more) ibuprofen.

Plus I got charged £3 for a bluray in a charity shop.

More than one hair got cut in the end in the interests of economy.

Made it to the petrol station for lunch literally seconds before the rush, which was a good thing as various pumps were out of action and the counter staff was short handed

Dave's out of action, possibly temporarily, with a neck problem somewhere north of York

She is good but there are two instructors, both female, who are better.

People have walked out of their classes as they push people to work as hard as possible.

Anyway it is pissing down with rain here. I have to go out to collect some stuff.

I'm hoping the website is wrong, but it's just said that he's arrived at Pocklington and then gone to DNF.

The ZeitExpedition to the attic was followed by a ZeitExpedition to the dump to get shot of many part rolls of wallpaper, shedloads of carpet offcuts, plus some considerable quantity of underlay offcuts.

Having lost the will to live, the 60 year old issues of Railway modeller stayed where they were.

As did the assortment of VCR97 and ACR13 scope tubes and the 7BP7 display tube that was supposed to be part of a long ago weathersat receiver that never happened.

Backk then the idea that one might have as much as 64k of memory in one's computer seemed highly unlikely.

At the bottom of the garden resides the parabolic reflector that was purchased for the receiver itself.

It sat in its slowly rotting wooden case for the last 40 years.

Not too bad a run, despite the usual crop of incompetents dawdling along the carriageways
