Coming along the A14 at J12 this afternoon, I was doing 70, in the outside lane as there was some slowish traffic ahead in the inside lane, with a 4x4 behind me. An ambulance merged in from the left just ahead of me, with its blue lights flashing away

I slowed down to about 65mph, matching the ambulance's joining speed, and moved over behind it so it could pull out safely and get past the slower traffic ahead.

The bloke in the 4x4 then accelerated and overtook both me and the ambulance

And right now thirty years ago, Deborah and I were bimbling about getting our act together, ready to join a few hundred other people being escorted by police eight miles down the A303 on foot to Stonehenge for the Solstice sunrise

They thought a bunch of useless hippies would take about four hours to get there. We arrived at around half two. At one point the police asked us all not to walk so fast, as they were getting tired. So we started running for a hundred yards or so; they didn't ask again

            Morning denizens

A very happy Summer Solstice to you all!

There's a bit of thin, high cloud here, but it's still sunny

I wonder how grey the sky has gone - it was blue earlier

Which proved to be a waste of time really, since sleeping with the racket that thing makes would be difficult.

So another sweaty night was had by all.

And the stench pipe seems to have detached itself from the wall, resulting in another requirement to go to B&Q this evening.

ho fecking hum with knobs bells and whistles on.

                  Bored. Now.

The search is on for my missing parcel. Hermes delivery card says left in my shed.

So either they have delivered a shed and left a parcel in it, or they haven't left it there.

Last time, the "shed" turned out to mean "your next door neighbour's driveway, in front of his car where it will sit for a week in the rain because he's on holiday".
