Just put my jumper on, I had the gas fire lit all yesterday evening just to dry the jacket out.

I went out to send a parcel.

Not that bad just a bit damp.

I reckon if I water the ground more there won't be a drought.

Maybe I should reseed the lawn - it is always followed by weeks of dry weather.

Nah, I started feeling a bit iffy on Sunday night and it grumbled on through Monday. Still not 100%

More corned beef for lunch, on a wholemeal roll this time

The rain that has rained throughout the morning has either stopped, or paused briefly.

              Home!

Some shockingly bad rain and spray on the way back

              Made it through though

                Fish supper cooked & consumed.

Liver & bacon extracted from freezer to defrost ready for tomorrow evening.

It's April showers here at the moment, but it's been largely dry and sunnyish all day.

Bit of a pity about the gale though.

Ah, yes - the rain and spray were so bad I'd almost forgotten about the vicious wind threatening to blow me out of my lane at certain points

There was a lorry ahead on the long curve up and over the M1 where the A14 ends, and the tarp over the top of it had come loose on the off side. The driver obviously hadn't noticed it flailing around in the wind like a mad thing as he joined the motorway

The tail end of the evening seems quite pleasant out there - we even got a bit of a sunset
