    Need to do some gardening.
Only 3 cars in front of me. In and out quite quickly. Now taking a break from digging.

      Afternoon denizens

Bit gloomy here today, though at least it's not raining

Links are up, so you can call off that trip to B&Q

The ZeitNephew & spouse turned up to inspect ZeityParentsTowers.

Seemed happy enough with the place.

She was a bit shocked when I remarked that I'd had the heating on all morning.

And it still wasn't exactly what you'd term warm.

ZeityTowers, by comparison, was quite warm even though the heating hasn't been on for several days.

Maybe that cavity wall insulation does work.

Lunch only cost me £70, so bargain.

Gardening this afternoon was somewhat exhausting but I've decimated some more brambles and ivy.

          Sat down recovering now.

            Gardening done.

The bad side of planting bulbs in grass is you have to wait weeks to cut the grass. The good side is you have to wait weeks to cut the grass.

Oh and the 5 English bluebells I planted years ago have multipled.

None of the English bluebells have ever done anything, but the Spanish & Siberian bluebells and whitebells are doing terrifically well.

Almost as well as the brambles and ivy really.

              The goosegrass is flourishing too.

Ahh a naturalistic type of gardening.

Meadows are very good instead of lawns I hear.

Dinner has been the rest of the roast duck, with trimmings

The roast potatoes came out absolutely brilliantly - I'm definitely getting the hang of the new cooker, though I think the leftover duck fat in which I roasted them also made a huge contribution
