The other day I sneaked off to the tip twice and didn't have to line up both times. And I didn't have to make excuses to any permie.

It's annoying they have changed the times to the tip so you can only go in morning rush hour or working hours during the week.

Home, and long weekend!

The journey home was a bit of a pig. The Google Maps app reckoned the delays caused by whatever they're doing to that bridge over the Great Ouse would only add about eight minutes, so I went that way rather than the alternative route. Big mistake: it took half an hour to get past the river

Then rain, that hadn't appeared on the forecasts, decided to liven the journey up in similar vein to yesterday

Still, finally home

Dinner has been a thick-cut pork chop, served with a simple accompaniment of chips and beans

And now, having nothing more arduous than opening the gate for the bins to be attended to in the morning, I shall wash it down with an Old Peculier or two while watching some telly
