That reminded me I got emails notifying me of bills just before Christmas. Just been and paid them. Gas and electric was estimated; I think I'll put off descending to the cellar to compare their guess with reality until after New Year

I made the mistake of looking at my credit card bill yesterday. Even by contractor standards, it's a bit eyewatering.

MyCo paid a dividend just before Christmas which was almost entirely consumed by my credit card bill, but at least it's clear now.

I've got all kinds of things I should be doing, but at the moment I'm reading articles on dealing with procrastination, so they'll have to wait

Google Section 75 and you understand why I'm happy to put even holidays where I pay a couple of percent extra on a credit card.

Same here - big ticket items go on the credit card, even though I have the money in the bank and pay it off the same month

                    Pork chops for dinner

I seem to be developing a headache, which I never normally get, and my nose is sort of on the cusp of becoming runny. My dad had a cold over Christmas; hope I haven't picked it up from him

Just to be on the safe side, I've had a couple of my sister's homemade mince pies. No idea of their antiviral properties, but they were dead nice
